IT WAS BULLS LAST WEEK
Now it is Cows . One wintry afternoon of recent date the southern end of Queenstown had the pleasure of witnessing one of our City Fathers of worthy note in real action. The occasion was another visit by the two cows of fame, that have been a source of annoyance in the neighbourhood for the last few years, and which have become famous of recent months owing to their agility and their knowledge of the best gardens of the town. Our City Father, with pipe in mouth, had secured the services of three small boys, and with the aid of lumps of broom proceeded to herd, the cows to safe quarters. An enjoyable half-hour’s entertainment was spent by those fortunate to witness the episode, and it was heard remarked that had Mr Phil Worth been in Queenstown at the time he would not have hesitated in engaging the services of the head drover.
