At the meeting (if the Domain Board Mr Taylor reported that the , Crown Lands representative had inspected the domain and was very favourably impressed with the work that had been done and the improvements that had been accomplished.

On the occasion of the visit to Arrowtown of Mr Heenan, Under-secretary to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Taylor had taken the opportunity to show Mr Heenan the improvements that had been made to the domain and camping r area and had made a request for a grant from the department for playing facilities for the children. Mr Taylor’s action was commended and it was decided to write to the Under-secretary’s office for application forms. An account for £1 was passed for payment.
