QUEENSTOWN DISTRICT WAR MEMORIAL

The committee of the Queenstown District War Memorial met in the library rooms, on Thursday, when Dr W. A. Anderson presided over the following committee:—Mrs C. Inglis. Messrs James McDonald, 11. J. Fuller. L. G. Lynch, M. T. Robertson, Captain G. A. Herbert and W. Smith (secretary). Having unanimously adopted a project at its last meeting the committee discussed the tentative plans of same, when it was decided to make certain alterations and refer hack to the architect for his consideration. Tin* plans, when finally drawn up. will he placed in a prominent window so that citizens can he converseiit and peruse the [dan before a public meeting is held. A letter was received from the Queenstown Borough Council approving of the committee's suggestion and advising that the council would be pleased to cooperate with the scheme.
