CLOSING OF SHOPS
By advertisement in another column, the leading business people of Helensville announce the arrangements made for closing at Christmas and New Year. Christmas Day, Monday and Tuesday will be observed as full holidays, 'as will also New Year's Day and the following Monday and Tuesday. Some business people were of opinion that the full teu days covering the holiday period should be observed, but this, although very desirable in many ways, would not be practicable for some businesses-.
