HELENSVILLE DOMAIN BOARD

All the members were present at the adjourned meeting of the Domain Board last Thursday evening. The caretaker's report was received, detailing progress for the month

It was decided to have the floors of the office and telephone box concreted,— Some new wire netting for the tennis courts has been placed in position. It was decided to forward a letter of thanks to Rev. P. Bridge for valuable assistance in connection with new bores recently put down. Also to thank the ladies who assisted . with the afternoon arrangements at the official opening on December 4th. It was decided to hire out the Board's boring plant at 7s 6d per day, all damage to be made good by person hiring. The secretary reported that £10 (collected at various concerts, etc.) had been received for seats for the. Domain. Two seats had arrived, costing £7 each. ' Afternoon tea, soft drinks, etc., are now available at the Springs Qrqunda, ifr H. W. fjallett having opened up th.is department in the pavilion, in a room temporarily hired from the Board. This innovation will prove a great boon during the holidays, and will fill a long felt want.
