AWAROA CLUB'S OPENING.

The above club held their opening on Saturday afternoon last, in ideal weather. Mr A. Hammond, president of the club, in a few well chosen words declared the green open for play, and called upon Mrs Hammond to throw the first jack. During the afternoon tea was dispensed by the ladies, being greatly appreciated. The green played excellently, thanks to the' good work of the green superintendent and green keeper.
