CRICKET
MATCH ON LABOUR DAY.
The Helensville Cricket Club have arranged for a team from Smith and Caughey's Cricket Club to visit here on Monday next (Labour Day) to play a match with the local club. The visitors are travelling from Auckland by motor lorry, and the thirty or more ' players and friends who are coming up are looking forward to having a thoroughly enjoyable outing. The local -cricketers are preparing for them, and with the assistance of a number of kindlydisposed lady friends, will provide luncheon and afternoon tea for the visitors and local players and friends. The visitors* will probably arrive here at 11 o'clock, and the match will start at about 11.30. The team to uphold Helensville's prestige against the Aucklanders will be chosen from the following : —T. Johnson, J. H. P. Hand, H. Callow, T. Mowbray, J. H. Mason, W. Cullens, N. Wal- - M. Matheson, W. J. Ellett, J. K. /^"Stewart, H. R. Fenner, F. W. -wiyLstrange, E. 0. McLeod, C. J. Claridge, Rev. Bridge, W. Coutts, J. B. Hobbs, H. Trumble, H. Thompson. All who possibly can are asked to turn out for practice on Saturday afternoon.
