HELENSVILLE TOWN BOARD
ELECTION OP CHAIRMAN
A special meeting of the newly appointed Board was held on Saturday afternoon last, There were present: Commissioners W. Coutts, W. Downer, A. Forrester, J. F. Lambert, jnr., R. Screaton, Jas. Stewart and C. West. The town clerk, Mr W. F. F. Raisher, called for nominations for chairman. On the motion of Cr. West,, seconded by Cr. Forrester, Cr. Jas. Stewart was nominated for the position. There being no other nominations Cr. Stewart was elected. The chairman thanked the members for electing him to the position. The following committees were set up: — Finance, Legal and Correspondence : Crs. West and -Screaton. Roads and Cemetery : Crs. W. Downer and J. F. Lambert, jnr. Water and Drainage: Crs. Coutts and Forrester. Domain Board : All members. It was decided that the Board meet for ordinary business on the second Thursday in each month, at 7^30 p.m. This concluded the business.
