KAUKAPAKAPA CLUB

The annual meeting of the above Club was held in the Hall on Wednesday, September Bth, a good number attending, Rev, F, C, Pace was chairman. j The secretary gave a brief report of the past season's activities, and presented the balance-sheet, which wai adopted, a credit of SA 9s 6d being carried forward to this season's funds, A letter from the Helensville Club was read, asking if two delegates could be appointed to discuss matters in connecr tion with the formation of a Cricket Association. Messrs Pace and F. Stewart were appointed delegates. The following officers were elected for the season -—Patrons, Hon. J. G. Coates, M.P.^fra Mr F. Dye; president. Mr F gtVwart; vice-presidents, Messrs Dipro«e and Jordan ; club captain, Mr R. Fennell: vice-captain, Mr S, Osbaldiston; secretary and treasurer, Mr S. H. C. Jones. The following were ejected a selection committee : Messrs R. Fennell, S. and T. Osbaldiston. General committee : Rev. Pace, Messrs Stewart, S. G-3baldiston, R. Fennell, and the secretary. The secretary was instructed to order shingle, etc., for a concrete pitch, and it was decided to concrete the pitch for 57ft., jtVa width of 4ft. 4inf, to take 4ft. 6in. jnatting. It was also decided to hold a working bee as soon as material came to Mr T. Qsbaldiston was elected to Supervise the laying down of pitch. Member's fees were fixed at 10s, but they were told they could give as much as they liked over that amount, as it would require a good substantial amount to put the club in a good position as regards funds for bats, matting, etc. It was decided to hold a concert in aid of funds in the Hall on October Ist. A good programme is expected. As soon as the pitch is fixed and sot, a Married v. Single match, to open the season, will be played.
