OTAMATEA V. KAIPARA.
The first rep. match to be played locally will take place on the Show Grounds on Saturday afternoon next, when taams representing the above unions will try conclusions. It is expected to play two games, classed A. and B. matches, the B. match commencing at 2 p.m. and the A. at 3 p.m. The visitors teams are an " unknown quantity " so far as this district is concerned, but the Kaipara teams are fairly representative of the district, and there is every reason to anticipate even matches. In the evening the visitors will be entertained to a smoke concert in the Star Theatre. Following are the Kaipara teams : — A. .team: Full back, Baker, three-quarters, Mouatt, Te Tuhi, H. Mather ; five-eighths,* Smith and Poland; half, Becroft; forwards, K. Mcßride, K. Drinnan, Colyin, Montgomery, Blackwell, G. Geldard, W. Bradly; wing, J. Pengelly. v B. team : Full back, A. Drinnan ; three-quarters, L. Drinnan, Mowbray, S. Davis ; five-eighths, V. McLeod, H, Mcßride; half, Manuel; forwards, Mills, H. Hooper, Powell, R. Gardner, D. Kapia, P. Drinnan, O. Bradly: wing, Shaw; emergencies : backs, Wi Davis and Agrassiz ; forwards : W. Gardner and Constable. The B. team will supply their own jerseys. Emergencies are requested to be on the ground by % o'clock/
