BRICK AND TILE INDUSTRY.

A movement is on foot in the town to set up a pipe, brick and tile manufactory, and several prominent townsmen have' offered to support the scheme. We are glad to learn that there is a prospect of starting such an industry in Helensville. because a manufactory of this kind is what is needed here to increase the progress of the town and make it a permanent centre of commerce. A stable industry such as pipes, brick and tile making helps to secure to Helensville, that "place in the sun" which it ought to occupy. We understand that Mr W. E. Barnard has the matter in hand, and those interested in the venture are advised to communicate with him.
