GLORIT V. MAORIS.

Glorit received a visit from the Maori team on Saturday —the first match played locally for 30 years. Though beaten by 10 points (two converted tries) to nil, the natives were far from disgraced, and pleased everyone with their clean, open play, and their sportsmanlike behaviour. The game was well contested throughout and the referee, Mr Jim Downer, satisfied all. Ho kept the players firmly under control ahd the linguists held their place. A few more such matches would help Rugby greatly in this district.
