The collectors —Messrs Mouatt and Sykes—for funds towards providing a cup or shield for competition between teams in the Kaipara Rugby Union, have met with a fair amount of success. At least one " sport " has donated £4, and a good number of smaller amounts are coming in. With something substantial to play for we expect to see football increase in popularity 100 per cent next season.
