FOOTBALLER'S LANGUAGE.
TO THE EDITOR
Sir, —As a spectator to a local football match held in your town last Saturday afternoon I was very much surprised to hear some of the senior players using very bad, and sometimes filthy language. I may state here sir, that the charge I am making did not take place while the match was in progress, but prior to the start, but the users of the said language were in football attire and took part in the match. Now, as there were a lot of juveniles present on the ground, I think it behoves all lovers of Rugby to keep the game clean, as it used to be the endeavour of players in my time. Trusting these few remarks will bear beneficial result to some football players of your town,—l am, etc., OLD RUGBY REP.
