(From a Correspondent.] The long postponed cricket match— married v. single—was played off on the King's Birthday, June 3rd, and resulted in a win for the married men by 22 runs, afte" a good game. During the luncheon | hour Mr Stewart in a brief speech, anj nounced that it had been decided to put j dowu a concrete pitch, and that the I Secretary (Mr S. H. C. Jones) would be j pleased to receive any donations towards same; any donations forwarded to the club will be promptly recognised by the j secretary. Several donations were received right on the spot, .and w« hope | for great things next season. The I president (Mr Stewart) called for three cheers for the ladies for the way in which they had supported the club, and hoped \ they would come forward next season in I even greater numbers. ■ Afternoon tea, with cheers for the ; opposing teams and the ladies brought { an enjoyable clay's outing to a close.
