Coates in ! regard to the matter. j RANGERS. i The delegate was instructed to I request the Auckland Society to ; send up two rangers prior to May . Ist, or to pay at least two local ■ men to do the necessary work. ; Two honorary rangers were appointed. ; GENERAL. The delegate was instructed to ; strongly support the issue of a : gun licenses in place of game 1 licenses. \ It was decided that portion of i territory on the western side of the railway line between Helens- \ ville and Waimauku be closed ; this season as a sanctuary for young birds. : A vote of thanks was accorded , the Auckland Society for the i number of birds so generously ' sent up to this district, ; Votes of thanks were passed to the president, vice-president, secretary, assistant seoretary, and auditor for their services during the year.
