DOMAIN BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The following members were present at the above meeting, held on Thursday, April 15th : — Messrs J\ Stewart (chairman), J. McLeod, H. Thompson, W. Coutts, J. Johnson and C. West. MINUTES Minutes of the previous meetin were read and confirmed. BORING PLANT. , It was decided to write to Dargaville and Auckland firms for particulars of boring plants for sale. LADIES' SWIMMING BATH. Plans of the proposed ladies' swimming bath were submitted by the engineer, Mr Wilson. On the motion of Mr Uoutts, seconded by Mr Thompson, it was decided that the Engineer complete the plans, and also that a further grant of £500 be applied for from the Government. GENERAL. It was decided to send an account for £1 7s 6d to a settler, for damage done by horses owned by him straying in the Domain grounds. The question of closing the baths one hour earlier during the winter months was held over until next meeting. The gen- ; eral opinion was that May Ist \ was too early to commence early | closing. Mr Johnson suggested that instead of renewing existing piping from Hinemoa House to Springs, a new bore be pat down. Accounts amounting to £75 were passed for payment.
