Auckland Hospital and Charit■|Hj&^pjPl^£§y3oard meeting on Tuesday a *et*er was received from the branch of the Farmers' Union, *^L>jjtf for the establishment of a cottage hospital at Helensville. It was decided . jJfcrm the Union that the Board could deal With the Helensville -- —./r_pjjp^Board in the matter. It was made clear by the remarks drawn forth by the letter that the Board has no intention of establishing cottage hospitals. It has started a maternity home, with a casualty bed, at Warkworth, and is taking th» same course at Waiuku (where the local people have collected £1000), but it discountenances.cottage hospitals, especially at place like Helensville, which is in direct communication with the city by rail.
