HON. J. G. COATES AT HELENSVILLE TO-NIGHT

The 'Hon. J. G. Coates, Postmaster General and Minister for . Justice, who is contesting the l^eKa'roara seat in the Government "T interests, will address the electors in the Lyric Theatre this evening at 8 p.m. &Mr Coates has addressed the electors of Paparoa, Matakohe, Whakfapirau, Hukatere, Mareretu, and Huarau. At all meetings there was a good attendance of settlers. Mr Coates dealt somewhat exhaustively with the legislation passed by the Reform Government last session and also touched upon the present political situation. The was frequently ap- " plauded during his address, and received hearty votes of thanks and renewed confidence in himself as the member for the • district. Mr J. Gregory, Labour candidate for Kaipara, was in Helensville on Thursday last, for the purpose of forming a committee ' in connection with his campaign. Mr Gregory will address the electors here at a later date.
