DISTRICT NEWS.

KAUKAPAKAPA.

| Own Correspondent I

Mr J.Simcock and family have recently sold their Kaukapakapa property, and intend moving to Helensville, where they will in future reside. The Simcock family are one of the oldest resident in the district, and to mark their departure a farewell social will he held in the Hall on Monday, November 9th.

The Tennis Club opened their courts on Labour Day, when a good number of players and spectators attended. Some of the games played were keenly contested. During the afternoon the ladies provided much appreciated light refreshments.

Several property deals have taken place around this district lately, and indications point to general progress and prosperity on all sides.
