MR. AITKENHEAD AND PARAKAI.
"Wayfarer" writes : —ln thanking Mr Horsepool and Dr. Scott for a donation of £4 12s 6d, the proceeds of a concert and dance at Parakai, Mr Aitkenhead urged those who benefitted by the waters at the hot springs to advertise the fact to their friends. Some of us have done this for an age, and I would support Mr Aitkenhead by saying that some of our best privileges have been lost through apathy and want of appreciation. Therefore be careful that the man above does not reduce the pressure, or the man below the heating power. This would be a calamity, for many now at Parakai wish everything served " hot de 1,"
