RETURNED SOLDIERS' FINAL DANCE.

In view of the very successful season the local Returned Soldiers' Association have had in the matter of holding socials, it has been decided to make the final social of the year an extra special one, and ip this connection a long night dance will .tie held in the Lyric Theatre on Thursday evening next, October 30th. It was at first proposed to hold a plain and fancy dress dance, but in view of the short notice, this project was abandoned. It has been decided to engage special music, consisting of piano, violin, and cornet, and arrange merits have been made for a sit-down supper in the Lyric supper rooms. Altogether the function promises to be a decided success, and a large attendance is anticipated. The prices of admission will be : Double ticket ss, gentlemen 3s, extra lady 2s. Tickets are now obtainable.
