Rev. A. V. Venables paid a farewell visit to Helensville during the week' The reverend gentleman is muoh im~ proved in health, after his recent illness.
Mr and Mrs T. Hinton, of Eureka, Waikato, were visitors to Helensville during the week-end. Mr R. Hinton, who has resigned his position in the Bank of N.Z., left Helensville by this afternoon's train.
Mr D. Ross, of the Helensville Transport Co., is at present away on a holiday.
Mr and Mrs C. Sandin are at present enjoying a motor tour through the Auckland prqvince,
Rev. Clement Hou.cb.en, M.C., vicarelect of the Helensville patiah, served as a military chaplain with the New Zea, lutv.l forces during the war.
Madams B?lla Russell, the well-known Auckland singer, is at present an a visit to (ho fleleu-ovillii Springs. Madame Russell has been induced to sing at the local Presbyterian Church on Sunday evening next.
