A meeting will be held in the Star Theatre this (Thursday) evening, at 7.30, for the purpose of reviving the Helensville Tennis Club. Everyone who is interested in this matter is invited to attend, and we are certain that a strong club, equal if not better than pre-war days, can be formed if interest is not lacking.

The institution of the Vicar-elect, Rev. Clement Houchen, M.C., to the parish of Helensville, will take place in St. Matthew's Anglican Church on Sunday morning next at 1] o'clock service, Yen. Arohdeacon Hawkins will take the service conduct the impressive ceremony of the institution of the Vicar. Special hymns will be given by the Choir, and to this end a special practice will be hold this evening.

The quarterly meeting of the Methodist Church was held at Helensville on Thursday last. Rev. W. H. Speir presided over a fair attendance. Five new members were added to the roll, and one name removed through death. The finances were reported to be in a satisfactory condition, and the work generally progressing very favourably. A unanimous invitation was extended to Rev. F. C. Pace to remain another year, and was accepted. Mr R. Pengelly was appointed representative to Synod, with Mr Spinley as substitute. Various other matters connected with the church work were discussed, and the meeting concluded with prayer by the chairman.
