THE DIGGER PIERROTS.
The above company (late N;Z. Divi-t sional Pierrots) appeared in the Lyric" Theatre, HelensYille, on Saturday even- ;■• ing last, and were enthusiastically greeted by the- large* audUnce whicfc attended in spite of most inclement' weather. Th b , " Diggers," who came H with a great reputation, fully sustainedit, and the show was one.of the beat yiefr'-'H seen here. The orchestra of ten was alone worth the price of admission, and: the only tault to be found in thatdirection was that not enough of their: ■ excellent music was given, The pierrots v of the company put on some really ex-.-v ' cellent items, and the "girl" played by Stan Lawson was heaps better than the n majority of those present for a moment expected. The singing of Sergt. Perkins r - was also much enjoyed, and the comedian /•*- ---of the troupe, Tano Fama, has' va style about him points ahead of the average ' Fuller artiste. " The Leave Train " was : a sketch that especially appealed to : the returned "diggers," and £bt a great ' V reception from the audience. In fact, v the whole show would ,take a lot-of beating, and wherever the troupe ap- • pears in future they are certain of a fine - reception. '
