The Men's Social Club held their usual fortnightly session on Saturday last, when the evening took the form of a social. Quite a number of those present took part, and an enjoyable evening soon passed. The next meeting will be held on September 30, when a debate will take place on Cricket v. Tennis, Quite a number of loGal properties are changing hands or are on the market. This week Mr SaucrvdeaL has sold his place to returned soldier, and 'nHv SWfet's Brookside property has been purchased by Mr Shanks. More changes are expected in the near future, U. an any of the Council explain why Seddon's hill is allowed to in such an awful state ? The distance from Wainui to "Waiwera seems to be greatly increased these days, owing to the ■'depth" of the road. It's enough to make poor old Dick turn in his grave. One could understand Massey road being a bifc thick, but not Seddon road.
