FOOTBALL.

A meeting of delegates of the !^ Kaipara Rugby Union was held »-^J| at Helensvilie on Monday everi-^^fl^^ ing, the four senior *eams"~~^^Hßß Helensville, Waimauku, Kaukakapa, and the Maoris —being represented. A good deal of discussion took place on the . question of whether district boundaries would be more suitable than the club system. By the latter method of selection* a , player can join any club he desires to, but by the boundary system players are limited as to choice. It was eventually decided, on the voting, that the % boundary ■jrsteni be adopted, the . r •« Kaukapakapa delegates being very keen on the idea. The. decision, which is not viewed with any great favour by local ■#{' players, is likely to affect the Helensville senior team, as two of its prominent players are practically cut out of a game by the new ruling. The Waimauku and Kaukapakapa seniors, who are down to play on the Helensville ground on Saturday next, will have some ' trouble in making suitable travelling arrangements, as the trains from either north or south do not suit very well. The other senior fixture — Helensville v. Maoris —will be played on the Parakai ground on Saturday. The time of starting depends on whether, the Wai-mauku-Kaukapakapa fixture is to be played, Kaukapakapa^ defeated the Maoris on the former's ground on Saturday by 11 points to 6, - Helensville seniors to play Maoris at Parakai on Saturday are : —Baker, Morrison, Mouatt, Noda, 'Hinton, Wright, Fifield, Hart, Larsen, Hafford, Carleton, Smith, Russell, Simcock, Hunter. Helensville juniors to play Parakai juniors at Helensville' on Saturday are:—N. OJsen, Fletcher Sage, Hafford, Noda, Hammoni White, Ellett, Geldard,-Geldard. ' - Berger, Hjorth, Taylor. Megsoii' Smith, Taylor.
