AN AUCKLAND PROPHET.

I haven't the least idea as to who Mr S. L. R. Rimmep may be, but I have just been reading a letter over his signature in the Herald, which 1 cannot but consider- extremely ill - advised. After declaring that he foretold the defeat of Germany, but that her man-power remain uncrushed, this gentleman proceeds to say : " I am satisfied this year will again see such a conflagration in Europe that will startle the world. . . . j. feel sorry for France, Italy, and Roumania who will igain come under German domination." The same writer declares that Germany is even now " secretly enrolling 25,000 men a day," and is preparing for another war with all her might. How does Mr Rimmer know these things?— and does he really expect us to take him seriously ?
