HELENSVILLE TOWN BOARD.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13TH
PRESENT Comrs. J. Stewart (chairman), Jas. McLeod, H. Aitkenhead, W.•" Coutts, C. West, H. Thompson, and the clerk (Mr W. F. Raisher). MINUTES Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE Outward correspondence was confirmed. TENDERS On the motion of the Chairman seconded by Cr. Aitkenhead, it was decided —That owing to the fall in prices of material fresh tenders be call for erection of Fire Brigade station. STRAYING ANIMALS Proposed by the Chairman, seconded by Cr West, and carried —That Constable Hunt be instructed to prosecute owners of J straying horses and cattle, and that a ranger and pound-keeper be advertised for. ROADS COMMITTEE Report was received and adopted. RAILS FOR BRIDGES Cr. Aitkenhead proposed, Cr Thompson seconded, and carried —That timber be ordered at once for fencing the approaches on the town side of the concrete bridge, and rails for Pipitaiwai bridge. LIGHTING The Chairman intimated thatMr Walker would be in Helensville re electric lighting scheme on Monday, 17th inst., and expressed a wish that as many members of the Board as possible would meet him. ACCOUNTS Accounts amounting to £87 5s 5d were passed for payment.
