PASSED AWAY.

MR. A. NUTTALL

Mr A. Nuttall, railway guard stationed at Helensville, died on Friday last. 15th inst., from complications following influenza, at the age of 36 years. The late Mr Nuttall was very popular among his fellow-workmen, as well as the travelling public, and his familiar face will be greatly missed on this section of the railway. He was an active member of the Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge, and took a great deal of interest in shooting, being a member of the Defence Rifle Corps. He was accorded a Masonic funeral on Saturday afternoon, the Rev. Butterworth officiating. Deceased leaves a wife and one child. MR. J. MORRIS. One of the oldest residents of Helensville, Mr J. Morris, senr., passed away at his residence on Sunday afternoon last, from influenza and bronchitis, at the age of 73 years. He leaves a wife, sons, daughters, and a number of grandchildren and greatgrandchilden. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon. MRi?. C. LODGE. Mrs C. Lodge, who died in Helensville on Monday last of influenza-pneumonia, at the age of 34 years, was a daughter of Mr and Mrs S. Olive, well-known residents of the town. She leaves a husband and five young children. The interment took place on Tuesday at the local cemetery. MR. R. CAMERON. Mr Robert Cameron, formerly a well-known railway guard on this section, died on the sth inst., in the Hamilton Hospital, from complications following influenza He was one of the oldest guards in the railway service, and was a son-in-law of Mrs S. Hunter of this town He leaves a wife and four children.
