HELENSVILLE V. KAUKAPAKAPA A cricket match was played at Helensville on Saturday last against a team from Kaukapakapa, for Red Cross funds. The weather was perfect, and a good proportion of the public turned out to witness the match. Ths net proceeds of £5 15s 9d were handed in to swell the local amount. A lady who included wax matches in a parcel posted to a soldier was yesterday fined 11s and costs. Most people's reply to the suggestion to eat horse-flesh is an indignant " Neigh !" The ex-Czar has been finally murdered, down and out, says the cable. And his wife and family have been removed far into the interior for safety, to a place unknown !
