HELENSVILLE TOWN BOARD.

SPECIAL MEETING,

The first meeting of the new Board was held on Monday, 23rd inst., at 7.30 p.m.

Present —Gomrs. Jas. Stewart, H. Thompson, H. Aitkenhead, Jas. McLeod, T. D. Johnson, W. Coutts, C. West,. and the clerk (Mr W. F. Raisher).'

Com. Thompson proposed and Com. Aitkenhead seconded —That Com. James Stewart be elected Chairman. —Carried.

The following oommittees were set up:—

Finance, Legal and Correspondence — Corns. West and Aitkenhead.

Roads, Bridges and Cemetery —Corns. McLeod, Thompson, and Aitkenhead.

Water and Drainage—Corns Coutts and Johnson.

It was agreed that the day of meeting be the second Thursday in the month at 7.30 p.m.
