GRAND RED CROSS ENTERTAINMENT.

A very successful Carnival entertainment .was given on Thursday last |in tSe Lyric Theatre by which the. Red CrossV ■■■** funds will benefit by some £11. Missel Rimmer, who was accorded a most enthusiastic reception, was in excellent voice, and was deservedly encored. The instrumental quartettes, Mrs J. Carter Rev. Venables, Messrs Leach and Carter,' were greatly appreciated, and future' performances will be welcomed. The production of " A Little Fowl Play " showed careful preparations and was enacted without a hitch, the young ladies especially acquitting themselves in a manner worthy of professionals.
