We draw attention to an advertisement appearing in another column notifying that the prize listfor the Great Northland Fair, to take place on the 6th to 9th March inclusive, is now ready for issue. The Fair includes a Race Meeting at Waipapakauri, Agricultural, Pastoral and Industrial Exhibition at Kaitaia, and many other attractions.

At the Waimauku Coronation Hall on Saturday evening next, a benefit concert and dramatic entertainment will be held in aid of the Red Cross Funds. A good programme has been arranged, and the admission is reasonable—Gents 2s, ladies Is 6d, and children 6d. A dance to follow.

In case the circular letter sent out by the Presbyterian Church re Roll of Honour for Active Service Soldiers, has not reached all the parents and wives in the district, will those with relatives at the front kindly communicate with Mrs J. A. Wilson, Garfield Road, Helensville. Those desirous of giving towards the said Roll of Honour may either send to Mrs Wilson or the Minister in charge.

With regard to the Helensville School Garden Fete to take place on December 14th, invitations are being issued to all residents of Helensville who have no children attending school, as well as to those of the surrounding districts. The scholars of the school undertake to invite their own parents, who it is hoped will attend in force. Given a fine day the afternoon's outing should result in a substantial sum being raised for the Swimming Bath Fund.

A garden party will be held at the Helensrille School on Friday afternoon, December 14th, for the purpose of raising funds for the proposed swimming bath at the school. A small charge will be made for admission to the grounds as well as for afternoon tea, and there will be various stalls for the sale of work done by the pupils, sweets, etc. A, collection of work done at the Manual Training Centre will be on exhibition under the supervision of Mr Johnson and Miss Barr, and there will be a number of dances, exhibitions of drill, etc., by the pupils. Foot races for the children will be run off during the afternoon. It is to be hoped that the residents of Helensville and surrounding districts will attend in large numbers to ensure the success of the afternoon.
