OBITUARY.
THE LATE ME "W. H. OAELETON
ANOTHER of our old residents, Mr W. H. Carieton, passed away at his residence, Helensville, on Thursday morning last, October 25th, at the age of 52 years. Deceased had been ailing for some time past, and the worry of having all his three sons fighting at the front (two have been wounded and the other was just recently killed) has been a heavy strain on him, and retarded his recovery. All his life Mr Carieton had been a hard working man; for some years i previous to his death had been I in the employ of the Railway L Department. Honest, and upm. right in all his dealings, he was liked, and the Court HEitar of Helensville (Foresters), of he was one of the oldest .will v grej@ufly~-*pis&' a brother' "" in Portadown, County Ireland, he came to some thirty two ■llyears ago. He leaves a widow, |two daughters and two sons, also pne sister and three step-brothers j|o mourn their loss, and great x f ympathy is felt for them JJhroughout the district. /T f The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon, and a large 'iiumber followed the body to its Jast resting place at the HelensJvfille cemetery. The cortege was fheadefjby the members of the jForesters Lodge. • Part of the k service was read in the Church England in a most impressive ■manner by the Rev. John ■Greenwood, Mr H. White junr. ■^officiated at the organ, and the KjChurch was crowded to.the doors.
