THE STAR THEATRE.
—Saturday—
The great Olga Petrova makes a wonderful re-appearance in the latest Metro Wonderplay, "The Eternal Question." The play teems with exciting incidents, 'in which .a race between an ocean liner and an aeroplane figures in a thrilling denouement. The scenes vary from the humble home of the organgrinder to a ducal palace, from a prominent New York club to a grand charity ball and bazaar,' with Bianca (Mme. Petrova) necessary to all the action. As dignified Royalty, as the Italian peasant, as the lover who finds her affiinity, she gives a perfect performance. The supporting films are all A.I. —Wednesday— " The Cup of Life "—This, the third Mutual Masterpiece featuring Bessie Barriscale, is altogether different to the preceding pictures, and serves'to show the remarkable versatility of this charming actress. The picture boldly takes up one of the big problems of life, and in a most interesting manner shows the beginning, the progress, and the ending of the girl who prefers the easy ways of life, who chooses riches without honour, luxury without work, love without marriage. Also a splendid list of supporting subjects.
