MARAETAHI RIDING.
MR H. AITKENHEAD AT WdODHILL.
Mr H. Aitkenhead, a candidate < for the Maraetahi Riding on the Waitemata County Council, addressed the ratepayers in the Woodhill Hall on Tuesday evening last, when there were about 20 ratepayers present. Mr Campbell occupied the chair and introduced the speaker. Mr Aitkenhead, in the course of his address, dealt with the deepening of the Kaipara River, and assured those present that if elected, he would give it his best attention. The matter of a good ■>/**% main road from Helensville to Auckland was touched upon by the speaker. These are two burning questions' of the day as affecting ratepayers in this Biding, which was worthy .of^jj^ attention of the representat^|^p^,. >' the Council. T§ After the address a number'of questions were asked and jan- I swered to the satisfaction of the w questioners. A hearty vote of thanks to the speaker and chairman concluded the meeting.
