Helensville, September 14th

PRESENT Corns. Lambert (Chairman), H. Graham, H. Aitkenhead, Jas. Stewert, A. Becroft, H.Thompson, and the Secretary. MINUTES Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. IMPROVEMENTS It was decided to have the inside walls of the swimmingbath whitewashed. NO FUNDS Mr Woolsey Allen to be informed that the Board has insufficient funds to keep the present drives and paths in order without making further additions. VOTE OF THANKS Mr R, Nicholls to be thanked for his past services, and a notice to that effect \be inserted in the local paper. GRAZING It was resolved that no grazing be allowed in the paddock known as the Domain Park. CONVALESCENT HOME It was resolved that the Government be requisitioned to establish a convalescent home at the Springs for returned invalided soldiers, by acquiring Hinemoa House and grounds and adding same to the present Domain. INTERVIEW The Board accepted Mr Jas. Stewart's offer to interview the Minister in Wellington on Domain business. BOWLING CLUB Com. Graham introduced the question of formation of a bowling club in connection with the green at the Domain grounds. No other member taking the question up, the proposition was allowed to lapse. ACCOUNTS Accounts amounting to £55 7s 6d were passed for. payment.
