HELENSVILLE A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
COMMITTEE MEETING, •
A MEETING of the above was held in the Helensville Public Library on Monday evening last, when there was a full attendance of members, to consider the revision of the schedule for the forthcoming annual Show. Mr W. Ellett occupied the chair. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The horse and cattle sections took some time to revise, Mr Knowles being strongly in favour of cutting down the list somewhat and awarding bigger prizes, so as to encourage outside competition. He also suggested ideas by which the stewards and judges could get through their work in a more expeditious manner. It was agreed that all entries close on Monday, 14th January, 1918. A special prize £1 Is given by Mr Knowles for vegetables grown by children under 16 years of age. A special prize of 10/6 was also given by Mr H. Graham for sweet peas. Class 127 x (box of factory butter) was cut out, as there was only one entry last year. A vote of condolence was tendered to Mrs John Mclntyre in her recent sad bereavement. This was carried by all present standing. This was all the business.
