THE STAR THEATRE.

-^Saturday— " Ths Scarlet Woman," featuring the peerless emotional actress, Mme. Olga Petrova, the screen idol of millions. It is one of strongest features ever offered ,on the Metro programme, and is probably the best vehicle ever provided for the famous Russian actress. It is produced on a pretentious scale, with many big and stirring scenes, and is a vital drama of New York Society and the forces of graft and unscrupulous politics in driving a woman along the " scarlet " way. The supporting programme includes a clever Drew comedy entitled " Help," also the first series of the " Metro Travelogue," introducing some ' really striking and beautiful scenes. —Wednesday— " The Forbidden Adventure," a Mutual masterpiece, featuring Louise Glaum and Charles Ray, both notable stars. This fascinating and realistic story, of love and adventure is most unusual both in plot and theme. All the scenes are laid in and about the great Arabian Desert, and in the lost city of Er Heb, right in the heart of the desert. A most convincing air of reality has been gained by splendid scenes of dawn and moonlight on the desert, the camel trains and caravans, the grim walls of the sacred city, and the cactus garden of the temple, while nothing more thrilling has been seen than the final escape of the young American and the beautiful Priestess from the dread city of the dead.
