THE STAR THEATRE.
—Saturday— "THE Masked Rider "—The story is thrilling—intensely so at times—especially when the detective-parson is caught between the two bands of moonshiners, and when he pursues Squid, their leader, and fights him to a finish. The fight is big, and the whole production is big. Harold Lockwood and May Allison are seen at their best in this remarkable film. Another big attraction is "Jungle Brats," a wonderfully clever comedy in which ! the famous performing chimpanzees, Napoleon and Sally, are among the principal artists. —Wednesday— "PASSERS By"—a charming story of London life of to-day. C. Haddon Chambers, the celebrated author of " Passers By," has written many successful playa, but none that has attained the international fame accorded to this wonderfully powerful and brilliant piece of literary art. The story interests with its novelty, thrills with its dramatic climaxes, and impresses with the masterly way in which it is handled and the high standard of the acting. The supporting picttures are varied, entertaining and up-to-date.
