GOLF.

HELENSVILLE GOLF CLUB.

THE usual Committee meeting of the above was held on Monday evening last, the President, Mr Stringer, occupying the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read, and confirmed. Owing to the excessive amount of rain, and consequent wet condition of the links, it was decided to extend the closing date for Mr and Mrs Stringer's trophies to 27th August, so that players who have not sent in cards will have every opportunity of doing so. Messrs E. O. McLeod and Wallace were appointed a committee to inspect the course and shift the holes where necessary.

It was arranged that in future the Committee meet once a month, the next meeting to be on 27th August, and that the President and Secretary be appointed an executive committee to carry on in the interim.
