THE BATHS AND GROUNDS.

TO THE EDITOR

SIR,—I wish to draw attention of the Town Board to the manner in which the baths are conducted, and the lack of supervision. On a recent visit I noticed a Maori push a dog into the swimming bath, and though a complaint was lodged at the ticket office no further notice was apparently taken of it.

How often the baths are cleaned I do not know, but as a casual visitor I should think they would not harm if they were done more frequently.

It would not be a bad idea if the Board placed a few notice boards with " Keep off the Grass " thereon, as their property is daily becoming destroyed and cut up by drivers of vehicles continually going off the paths.—l am, etc. A Visitor. Parakai, June 20th, 1917.
