RED CROSS TEA.
A VERY pleasant afternoon was spent last Thursday, when Parakai branch of Auckland Women's Patriotic League. gave a Red Cross Tea at Parakai HouseV Mrs Little having very kindly lent her commercial room, for the occasion. The day was all that could be desired, and the room was filled to overcoating. The time was spent in guessing coii«iL and raffles. The following music^^H were rendered and greatly appreS^^M Song, Miss White ; songs, Mr W. H^H violin solos, Rev. Venables ; so'ng^^H Fitzthum. The commercial enylalJi! were a great draw, realising the sun£ of £7 Us 3d. Home-made sweets wiere carried round by little girls.. The aftL noon was also greatly appreciated. LI the cakes etc., had been given by thl ladies of the district. U A h T ea/* y T°te °f was accorded Mrs Little for her kindness, and the Committee desires to thank all those who assisted in making the afternoon a success not forgetting the business people of Helensville who so generously donated prizes for the envelopes £££&£s£!
