LYRIC PICTURES.

Friday—Two extra good star pictures •will be screened on Friday night. " Charity Ann,'! a London Film play of impressive power, in which beautiful Elizabeth Risdon has the leading part in her wonderful characterisation of a beggar maid. A screamingly-funny Keystone, entitled " The Janitor's Wife's Temptation," will also be shown.

Saturday—The W«rld Film Company presents "Women and Wine," the fascinating drama of Parisian life in five big acts. This picture is from the original Drury Lane production, written by Arthur Shirley and staged with sensational success by Bland Holt throughout the Southern Hemisphere. It is an incomparable masterpiece of gorgeous settings, magnificent acting, and beautiful photography—looo people in tha midnight dance at Moulin Rouge, the crowning of the Queen of Beauty, and all the glitter and glamour of the " Great White Way " of Few York.

Tuesday—Cyrus Townsend Brady has written a remarkable story in " The Chalice of Courage," and it has been re-produced in picture form with striking effect. A most human and possible story of the primitive passions, set amid some of the most gorgeous mountain scenery imaginable, and developing along unusual lines to a thrilling climax, the picture ranks among the best productions that have been seen locally. The supporting programme is above the ordinary.
