Saturday—" The Kiss of Kate," an intensely fascinating story dealing with, typical Russian life and romance. A feature of the 'film is the scenic attractions which it presents and the Siberian riews are particularly striking. Miss Ethel Barrymore, who takes the leading role in this splendid production, will through a contract just consumated with the Metro Corporation, receive the highest salary ever paid a woman star for a series of motion pictures. She will receive 40,000 dollars for each production in which she appears, and Metro has agreed to make at least four a year, tor. a term of three years, making a minimum figure of 480,000 dollars for three years.
Wednesday—"The Queen of Knaves," a three-pai-t Nordisk "feature, showing up some of the methods o.C the infamous gang of jewel robbers that scourged Europe just before the war. A. clever and fascinating adventuress and an accomplice adopt some novel methods o.._' jewel-robbery ; some clever detective work on part of the jeweller's assistant and the police lead to excifc'ng situa,iuiis and the final defeat of "The Queen of Knaves."
