HELENSVILLE ACCLIMATIZATION SOCIETY.

A MEETING of the above was held in the Town Board Office, on Friday evening last, 20th inst., when there were a good number of members present. Mr A. J. Hill occupied the chair.

The minutes of previous meetwere read and confirmed.

Mr Spinley read the model rules supplied by the Auckland Society.

Proposed by Mr Aitkenhead, seconded by Mr Lambert—That the rules as read be adopted by the Helensville Society.—Carried The following officers were diily elected: — Mr A. J. Hill—President. Messrs J. A. Wilson, J. Lambert, and H. Aitkenhead—VicePresidents.

Mr E. T. Field—Auditor. Mr A. Hammond —Secretary and Treasurer.

The following were appointed on the committee : —■

i Messrs Bradly, Sandin, Elliott, Jas. Downer, and Cooper.

After some discussion, it was decided that the following boundaries should prove suitable: — Kumeu and Riverhead, across to the West Coast in the South, and Wellsford, Port Albert and Warkworth Roads in the North.

The names of seven members were nominated as honorary rangers, to be approved of by the Auckland Society.

It was decided to liberate the 20 pheasants received from the Cambridg game farm, as follows : 12 birds for Mangakura and Kiwitahi, and 8 birds for Makarau, between Messrs R. McMillan and Smith.

It was decided that a brace each be liberated on the following properties : Messrs Hand, Bishop, Ellett, Simm, Aitkenhead and Loughman.

No shooting is to be allowed on the following properties :—Messrs John Hand, R. Bishop, W. Ellett, G. Simm, H. Aitkenhead T. Loughman, J. Kelly, R. McMillan and Smith.

Gun licenses can be obtained from the Secretary, Mr A. M. Hammond.

A vote of thanks to the chairman brought the meeting to a close.
