ANZAC DAY.

On Anzac Day, Wednesday next (25th April), the Chairman of the Town Board requests that all business premises will be closed from 1 o'clock. There will be an "In Memoriam " Service in Stewart's Theatre at 3 p.m. sharp. The speaker will be CaptainChaplain Pattison, of the So merville Memorial Church, Remuera. The collection is to go to the V.M.C.A. special effort to provide trench comforts for the troops. It is to be hoped there will be a good roll-up of the general public, who surely need no reminder of the gallant deeds done by the boys on April 25th, 1915. Services will be held in St. Matthew's Church, Halensville, as follows :— 11a.m., Morning Prayer, h.C. and Sermon, 7 p.m., Evensong and Sermon.
