HELENSVILLE LADIES' SOCIAL.
THE social held in Stewart's Hall to raise funds for sports for the Territorials who were in camp in Helensville, proved a great success, and much credit is due to the ladies who worked it up at such short notice. The Helensville Band opened the dance with a Grand March and waltz, and also played several dances during the evening, which were much appreciated, it being their first public attempt at dance music. The Hall was looking its best, with decorations of flowers and coloured lights encircling the new stage. Dancing was j^ept up until the early hours of the morning, the officers and all generally gnjoying themselves to the fullest extent. The following bal^ncersheet has been handed in :— —Incqme— £ s. d.
