HOLIDAY ENTERTAINMENT
AN exceptionally well-selected and exr cellent series of picture programmes have been procured by the management of the Star Theatre for the holiday season, and should prove most attractive. The magnificant recruiting drama, " You " —What are You doing for your Country—is the principal item on Saturday night's programme. It clearly shows how persons in all walks of life . can help win this great war, and makes a big appeal. Another fine picture it the Broadway drama, " The Little Angel of Canyon Creek," in which, through the presence of a little child, a wild, rough place is changed into a law-abiding,.. God-fearing community. " The Governor's Lady," one of Jesse L. Lasky's best pictures, will be shown at the Star Theatre on Wednesday night next. The story is taken from the book by Alica Bradl«y. Another very interesting picture is " War in the Air," which is one of the most realistic films yet shown, vividly depicting the methods used in aeroplane raids. "A Man of God,"—a priest, a man, and a girl—whose experiences when cast upon a desert island, are decidedly interesting and entertaining, is the star drama on the programme booked for Saturday, December 30.
